Helping people and pets live better together

Training Philosophy:

Training Philosophy: I use the Humane Hierarchy when putting together a behavior modification plan. I believe in the Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive strategy. Positive reinforcers such as food, toys, attention, and play, are used to improve and increase desired behaviors. You and I work at the dog’s pace without the use of pain or fear.

What to Expect:

Step 1: Contact me by email trustypawsdogs@gmail.com or at 410-404-0315 for a free 15-minute discovery call.

Step 2: Complete client information form when emailed or I can gather information by text or phone. A behavior consultation will be scheduled. A meeting can be scheduled for dog walking if necessary.

Step 3: The first behavior consultation: It starts with an assessment to understand your dog’s motivations and learning style. I will also test how a dog reacts to different stimuli. You will receive training notes and helpful resources emailed to you.

Step 4: Schedule training sessions based on your needs. I will follow-up by email, text, or phone to answer any questions and see how you are progressing.

About the Trainer:

Meet Casey St.John

About me: I began my dog training journey in 2009 when I brought home an English Springer Spaniel puppy-Rigby. Together Rigby and I passed the Canine Good Citizenship test, became a certified therapy dog, completed trick/behavior classes, and had fun with agility. In 2022, I began volunteering at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter. I have over 1000 hours walking dogs, assisting the Training and Enrichment staff, and teaching dog handling to volunteers. I decided to leave my career in the legal field behind to pursue my full-time passion.

Professional development:

  • CPDT-KA certified

  • Fear Free Shelters Certificate of completion

  • Pet CPR and First Aid Certificate of completion

  • Internship with trainer Debbie Winkler at Humane Domain
